📋Swipe for that list of requirements to sell pumpkins🫣
🚜Overthinking it is one of the biggest things that held me back from selling farm to consumer!!

I originally wanted to simply wholesale my pumpkins because selling to my community felt complicated.

When wholesale sales were not lining up, I needed to do something and FAST🏃‍♀️

I had pumpkins and NEEDED to sell them, so less than 24 hours later (after panicking about struggling to sell wholesale), we threw together our very first self serve wagon!

🎉It ended up working SO well and being way less complicated than what I expected, and I am so glad that we did!

🌱It all started with actually having pumpkins to sell, and I teach you my exact growing process in “Pumpkins for Profit!”

📸Weekend photo dump (well, let’s call it a mid week photo dump lol)
✅Finished the final weekend of our Valentines events at , complete with every type of weather imaginable
✅We went 4/4 on our pregnancy results from our last round of AI (shocked in the best way🤯😍)
✅Loaded hay with the grapple for the first time (no other option, Jacob wasn’t there to save me lol) and I didn’t break anything!
✅Have been hosting private cow visits and am preparing to sell two calves that have been doing amazing with their halter training

Doing SO much with the cows truly brings me so much joy!! Counting down the days until spring, warm weather and planting pumpkins! Will be here before you know it!!🎃

🗣I started telling people I was going to have pumpkins for sale, even before the first fruit grew on the vine.
This was entirely fake confidence, because my very first growing season was me winging it every step of the way. I was kinda sorta confident that I would be able to grow and sell pumpkins, but starting from scratch, I had ZERO customers.

If I had to do over my very first season, here’s what I would do⬇

🔸ONE🔸
Have a really solid plan for the year! Actually map out and think through things like:
✔Best selling varieties
✔Buying habits of potential customers
✔Sales trends from farms already selling pumpkins
✔How would selling pumpkins fit into my lifestyle? What kind of time would it require of me?

🔸TWO🔸
Share on social media, right now. My very first year I constantly (1-2times per week) talked about the pumpkin growing process...even before I was confident I would actually have anything for sale.
This started to get my community aware of what was coming, and build some hype and excitement around the season!

When it was finally time to sell, people were looking forward to buying from us and were paying attention to our marketing!

🔸THREE🔸
I made a lot of mistakes when growing simply because I was winging it. I didn’t do a ton of research and I definitely didn’t have someone to learn from or ask questions.

That last piece is exactly why I created Pumpkins for Profit, a digital workbook to teach you exactly how to grow and profit with pumpkins!🎃

Take the first couple steps, go all in, grab Pumpkins for Profit!

📸Weekly photo dump!!
✅Launched a small online store (highland plush & craft kits)
✅Hosted our first ever cow pop up event
✅Started to halter break our calves
✅Have been hosting gusts to visit the cows
✅Ear tagged the whole herd
✅Sent out blood for pregnancy testing
✅Lots of behind the scenes computer work to keep all of this up and running😅

Another week proving to me that the winter in fact is not as slow of a season as I expected!🤣 It may not be pumpkin season, but we sure are into a lot of things at !!
