We have all been seeing negative posts on social media about a new iPhone feature called “Name Drop”
Your contacts, etc will not be shared by just touching or being near another iPhone.
The devices must be practically touching for NameDrop to work, and both users must agree to share the information.

Don't trust it, turn it off...
If you want to turn it off, the steps are simple: Go to the iPhone’s settings, tap “General,” and select “Airdrop.” Then toggle off the “Bringing Devices Together” option.

Despite warnings from local police departments and TikTok accounts, and the fact that it's turned on by default, Apple's NameDrop is not a major safety threat.
