Welcome to 2022
What’s new for you in 2022?
I know we are only five days into the New Year, but I’ll bet that you’ve already begun to feel and experience new things.
Closing one chapter and opening the next feels like receiving a whole new universe of possibilities.
So, how will you meet and make the best use of those possibilities?
The New Year is traditionally a time that we set intentions, make resolutions, or determine a focus for the coming year.
The new year calls for a new mindset to maximize your potential. How you see things and how you say things can make all the difference between success and not-quite-good-enough.
Here are four simple mindset shifts that can create positive momentum for you in 2022:
Instead of obstacles, see opportunities – It’s easy to get frustrated or defeated when something diverts or distracts you from the path you’ve laid out for yourself and your business. If you look at such distractions as an invitation to see things from another perspective or to consider new ideas, you expand your possibilities for success.
Instead of limitations, see learning opportunities – As your business grows and changes, there will be times when your existing skills and talents are not enough. Rather than focusing on your limitations, view this as an invitation to growth and change. When you add a new competency to your skill set, you increase your capacity to serve your customers and build your business.
Instead of “me”, think “we” – It’s natural to look at things and make decisions based on how something will affect you. As a leader, you must take a wider view, looking at the bigger picture of how a particular choice or action will affect the whole company…and your customers. When you think about the well-being of the group, look for the greatest good for the greatest number
Instead of “if”, think “when” – As you look forward to reaching your goals for 2022, it’s important to start with the assumption that you will reach them. By focusing your attention on how things will be when the goal is reached, you assure that energy is flowing in that direction. Make plans for taking the next step after you’ve succeeded at one thing…who knows what wonderful things will develop.
This year instead of making resolutions that you may or may not keep, make these simple mindset shifts that can keep you in positive flow toward your next level of success.
Happy New Year! You’ve got this.
Blessings,
