If you would’ve told me a few years ago that a paintbrush would become such a big part of my life, I probably wouldn’t have believed you.
I’m a stay-at-home mom to three boys, and my days are loud, messy, beautiful, and sometimes completely overwhelming.
I started painting banners after having my third baby.
At the time, I wasn’t looking to start a business. I wasn’t trying to build a brand. I was simply looking for something that would quiet my mind for a little while.
My very first banner was for my son’s 5th birthday.
I remember painting it and thinking, “I actually love this.”
What started as something small slowly became my escape.
When life felt chaotic, I could sit down with a blank banner, pick up my paintbrush, and just… paint.
For those few hours, I could silence the noise in my head.
Painting became my way of escaping the craziness — not because I don’t love being a mom, but because being a mom is a lot. And I needed something that was just mine.
Something I could create with my own hands.
Something that made me feel like more than just the person keeping everyone else going.
And somewhere along the way, this little hobby became something bigger.
It became a business.
And now, something that started as my way of finding a little peace has allowed me to contribute financially to my family while still being home with my boys.
That means more to me than I can explain.
I get to be there for the birthdays, the school days, the sick days, the ordinary days… and I also get to build something of my own.
I’m proud that I can help support my family financially through something I created.
I’m proud that my boys get to see their mom work hard, create something from nothing, and chase something that makes her happy.
This business may have started with one birthday banner for my five-year-old…
But it became so much more than that.
It became my escape.
My creative outlet.
My independence.
And a little piece of me that I never knew I needed.
So every time I pick up my paintbrush, I’m reminded that sometimes the things we start just to get through a difficult season…
Can become the very things that change our lives.
If you have ever purchased a banner from me, or shared my post I just want to say I SEE YOU and I AM SO THANKFUL FOR YOU because you have made this happen for me. I am so excited to see what the future as in store for me. 🩷
