Something worth understanding about utility-scale solar construction: the foundation phase sets the pace for everything that follows.

When pile driving falls behind or installation quality becomes inconsistent, every downstream scope absorbs the impact. Racking gets delayed. Module installation gets pushed. The schedule compresses in ways that are hard to recover from without adding cost or cutting corners somewhere else.

Getting the foundation phase right, with experienced crews who know how to adapt when soil conditions change and communicate early when something isn't going as planned, is one of the most important decisions an EPC makes on a large solar project.

We're hiring a Module Scanner, and if you've worked on a utility-scale solar site, you know how critical accurate documentation is before a project can move toward commissioning.

The Module Scanner is responsible for scanning, recording, and verifying the serial numbers and placement data of all solar PV modules installed on site. This role works closely with the Module Installation crew and QA/QC team to make sure every module is accurately logged into the project's tracking system, correctly positioned per the string layout plan, and fully documented for commissioning, warranty, and turnover.

One of the most overlooked risks in utility-scale solar construction is what happens between scopes.

Mechanical wraps a section. Electrical isn't ready to follow. The sequence drifts.

A few days slip here, a week there, and suddenly the project is behind with no single owner for the problem. It's not always dramatic. It's usually just friction that compounds quietly until it becomes expensive.
