Our team member, Olivia, is a networking superstar!

We’re continuing our MYPros Mondays series — highlighting the amazing MYPros members who make Midland such a great place to live, work, and play! This week, we’re featuring Olivia Cassise, a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Allied HR Solutions.

Originally from Lake Orion, Olivia attended Saginaw Valley State University and started her career before even graduating — commuting to Lapeer for work while finishing school. After graduation, she was ready for a change… and a LinkedIn message on her birthday ended up changing everything.

“Ali (Huntoon) messaged me on my birthday,” Olivia said. “I thought, ‘This is not real,’ but I messaged her back, did a couple rounds of interviews, and now here I am.”

In her role at Allied, Olivia helps companies find the right talent. From reviewing resumes and conducting interviews to assisting with onboarding and even marketing, she plays a key role in connecting people with opportunities. Her favorite part? Getting to talk with people every day and helping them take the next step in their careers.

When she’s not working, you can likely find Olivia teaching classes at Allied Group Fitness or exploring Midland — whether that’s grabbing coffee or taking a stroll downtown. She loves the laid-back feel of the community and how easy it is to get around and stay connected.

Through MYPros, Olivia has built meaningful relationships and even collaborated professionally — including partnering with fellow member Justin McCrory to host a job fair at Brooks Estates.

“Anywhere else, there wouldn’t be that opportunity — especially being so young — to pair up and host an event like that,” she said. “There are just so many cool opportunities that can come from MYPros.”

For Olivia, MYPros is all about connection.

“You need to meet people face-to-face, especially in a place like Midland where everyone is so well-connected,” she said. “MYPros opens that door, and there are so many opportunities to fit events into your schedule.”

Her advice for young professionals? Get involved, show up, and build those in-person connections — you never know where they might lead.
