Sick of those guitar tuning videos with distorted sound and/or only play the note 2 or 3 times which doesn't give you enough time to properly tune each note?...

What guitar should my kid get starting out?? This seems to be one of the most asked questions.. This video lays it out!

Also, I mention there are three types of guitars you could get...really there is more than that but I cover three of them.

Simon has really taken BIG strides with his guitar playing and I'm so proud of how well he is doing. I hope this gives your kids motivation to press on because it really is so rewarding when you learn songs and you can share your gift with others. What a cool feeling! Wow! What a good week this week for all of my students. Parents, remind your kiddos that learning something new is HARD and it takes effort!

They're doing a great job and its a good idea to make sure they know it!

Rome wasn't built in a day, and learning guitar can take a little while...Make sure they're practicing the chords C, A, G, E, D, and getting used to transitioning between each chord quickly.

I've posted the tabs for "It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas" Make sure they start practicing this.

Have a great rest of the week and check here daily for updates. (ill try and be better about that)
