At English Directional Drilling, every week is Safe + Sound Week.

While OSHA’s Safe + Sound Week officially takes place August 10–16, the principles behind it are something we live every single day.

Safety isn’t just a meeting, a checklist, or a once a year campaign. It’s every pre-job briefing, every equipment inspection, every JSA, every conversation, and every employee looking out for the person beside them.

Our goal is simple: Everyone goes home the same way they came to work.

To our field crews, mechanics, office staff, and leadership, thank you for making safety part of our culture. Your commitment to doing the job the right way is what keeps our company strong and our people protected.

As Safe + Sound Week approaches, we’re proud to stand with companies across the country in reinforcing a message we believe in year round:

Safety isn’t a priority that changes, it’s a value that never does.

Our hearts are with all those impacted by today’s tragic incident in Midland. We extend our thoughts and prayers to the victims, their families, and everyone affected by this senseless act of violence.

We are deeply grateful to the courageous law enforcement officers, first responders, medical personnel, and emergency teams who acted swiftly to bring the situation under control and protect our community.

For those looking to support the victims and their families, donations may be made through the United Way of Midland. Community members who are able are also encouraged to consider donating blood to help meet ongoing medical needs.

Family reunification services are being coordinated at the chapel at Midland Memorial Hospital.

In moments like these, Midland’s strength, compassion, and resilience shine through. Please continue to keep all those affected in your thoughts and prayers, and follow guidance from local authorities for official updates.
