Ever heard of a Harris's hawk? They're nicknamed "Wolves of the Sky" because they actually hunt in family groups, working together the way a wolf pack does. One flushes the prey out, the others wait and pounce, and they take turns until the job is done. Wild, right?

I would have had no clue about any of this without my business partner Daniel and his wife pulling me into the world of birding. They've got a lot of passions and birding is one big lane of it, but really they're just outdoor people, always chasing the next thing to learn.

Our industry will run you into the ground if you let it. Long hours, big pressure, constant noise. The people who last in this business almost always have something outside of work that keeps them sane. For us, it's getting outside.
