A big thank you to Fruitland Market in Auburn for generously donating mini pumpkins to our Kaleidoscope Creative Arts program! 🎃

Our participants had a blast turning them into creations inspired by Frankenstein, Beetlejuice, Pikachu, and more. Even our staff joined in! Natalie, an occupational therapy student from SVSU completing her fieldwork with us, helped lead the activity and encouraged everyone’s creativity.

Thank you, Fruitland Market and Natalie, for helping make it such a fun day! 🧡

🏛️ **An Awesome Day of Advocacy, Inclusion & Community!** 💙

Staff and individuals from **both the Arnold Center Gladwin and Midland locations** had the wonderful opportunity to take part in a day at the Michigan State Capitol!

Experiences like this give the individuals we serve an opportunity to learn more about advocacy, share their voices and experiences, and better understand how decisions made at the state level can impact services and supports within their communities. It was also a great opportunity to learn more about the legislative process and the importance of being involved and informed.

🌟 **A very special shout-out and thank you to Representative Brad Slagh** for taking time out of his busy schedule to meet with our group. Representative Slagh gave everyone a tour of the **House of Representatives chamber** and took the time to explain how the voting process works. The Michigan House currently lists Representative Bradley Slagh as serving District 85. ([Michigan House of Representatives][1])

For the individuals we serve, opportunities like this are about so much more than a field trip. They are about **community inclusion, education, self-advocacy, making connections, and having the opportunity to be seen and heard.** ❤️

We truly appreciate when members of our community take a little extra time to engage with our individuals, answer their questions, and make them feel welcomed and included. That time and kindness can make an experience even more meaningful.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a memorable day for our Arnold Center group! 🙌🏛️

Our Arnold Center Gladwin CLS groups had the sweetest afternoon snuggling with the goats from Cedar Acres Homestead! 🐐💕

Cedar Acres thoughtfully created a safe, enclosed area with accessible seating so everyone could comfortably brush, pet, and snuggle the goats—including the adorable little babies! These special hands-on experiences mean so much to our participants, and it was wonderful to see all the smiles and laughter.

A heartfelt thank-you to Cedar Acres for making the afternoon so welcoming and accessible, and to CMH in Gladwin for helping sponsor this wonderful activity. Everyone had such a great time! 💚

The Arnold Center’s CLS Group Program in Midland is seeking a caring, dependable person to help adults with disabilities participate in community activities, build independence, and enjoy new experiences.

✅ 35–40 hours per week
✅ Starting wage: $17.13/hour
✅ Primarily weekday daytime hours
✅ Only two weekdays may extend until approximately 5:30–6:00 p.m.
✅ No weekends!

Our groups enjoy activities such as bowling, swimming, volunteering, spending time with animals, exploring the community, and much more. This is a hands-on position for someone who genuinely enjoys supporting others and making each day meaningful.

A valid driver’s license is required.
