Please join us in welcoming Matt Catalano as Intrepid's General Counsel!

Matt joins Intrepid after 24 years in private practice with the largest law firm in West Texas, where he represented national and local oil and gas service companies, operators, midstream companies, major insurance carriers, and governmental entities. He graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 1998 and is licensed in Texas and New Mexico.

Matt previously served on the Board of Directors of his law firm, and he is a past president of the Midland County Texas Exes, a former Vice-President of the Midland County Young Lawyers Association, and a former board member with Hospice Midland.

Matt is a U.S. Air Force veteran who served as a Russian Cryptologic Linguist during the Cold War before attending law school. He and his wife Lee, who works as an elementary school counselor, enjoy traveling, attending live music events, spending time with their two sons and their wives, and caring for their four dogs.

Matt is committed to incorporating the highest ethical legal standards into his work at Intrepid as it experiences phenomenal growth in North and Latin America.
