This crawlspace developed fungal growth due to elevated humidity.

The homeowners had attempted a DIY encapsulation by installing a v***r barrier and sealing the foundation vents. However, with no HVAC ductwork, conditioned-air supply, or dehumidifier in the crawlspace, moisture became trapped inside. Wood-moisture readings exceeded 20%, creating conditions favorable for fungal growth and potentially leading to wood decay.

Victory Pest Management removed the fungal growth, replaced the contaminated insulation, and installed a new sealed v***r barrier. Because the crawlspace did not have a dehumidifier or conditioned-air supply, we reopened the foundation vents to restore cross-ventilation.

The new homeowners can now enjoy a cleaner, drier, and healthier crawlspace.
