T Minus Five Days.
Ninety-two years.
Think about that for a moment.
Ninety-two years of sermons preached, prayers whispered, songs lifted, funerals mourned, babies dedicated, families restored, and lives changed inside the walls of Zion Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland.
Some members are no longer with us physically, but their fingerprints remain on the ministry. Their sacrifices built foundations many of us now stand on without fully realizing the cost.
As I prepare to return home for this historic anniversary celebration, I keep reflecting on one thought: You do not arrive at 92 years by accident - You arrive there by faith.
There comes a point in every church, every family, every organization, and every individual's life where survival is no longer the goal. The question becomes:
“What do we do with the second wind God has given us?”
That is where legacy meets responsibility.
Baltimore shaped me. Zion prayed for me long before platforms, titles, degrees, or leadership positions ever existed. To come back and share in this moment is deeply personal and profoundly humbling.
If you are in the Baltimore area, I invite you to join us. Some reunions are more than social gatherings. They are reminders that grace kept all of us here.
“This is the LORD’S doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.”
Psalm 118:23
