Now is the time to review your buying procedures, flag title discrepancies, and make sure your advertising and buyer disclosures accurately reflect each vehicle’s history.

🚨 Dealer Alert: Kentucky Red Titles & Utah Titling Restrictions 🚨
Did you know? Some vehicles previously designated as junked or crushed in other states are being presented for Utah titles using Kentucky red titles.
🔴 Kentucky issues physical red-colored titles for certain vehicles that were previously junked, even if they now carry a salvage or rebuilt brand.
⚠️ These titles include a notice stating: “May not be eligible for titling in all states.”
Because Utah does not issue titles for junked vehicles, these Kentucky red titles cannot be accepted for titling or registration in Utah.
✅ If a customer presents a Kentucky red title, politely explain that Utah cannot title the vehicle due to its prior junked status.

Who We're Looking For:
Someone who is organized, comfortable with computers, has good customer service skills, and pays close attention to detail. Previous automotive dealership, DMV, title/registration, data entry, or QuickBooks experience is a plus — but it is not required.

This can be a great opportunity for someone entering or returning to the workforce, as well as someone with previous automotive or office experience.

A dealer in Ohio recently had a vehicle stolen on a test drive. Don't skip the processes on a test drive no matter how legit everything looks. Be extra cautious. In a recent meeting we were in with the FTC Director of Bureau of Consumer Protection, Chris Mufarrige, he noted that all required fees should be included in the advertised price of the vehicle. This INCLUDES Dealer Doc Fees. Only mandated items to not include are Government Mandated Fees, i.e. taxes, title & registration.
