Water problems? We’re here to help!

From slight water pooling in your lawn to wet spots inside your foundation we have you covered! Although the issue may be small now it can cause serious issues later. Due to colder temperatures water sitting near or on your foundation can freeze causing cracks, mold and worse… foundation failure. It’s best to tackle those issues now before it’s too late.

Common water issues are caused by erosion, improper grading, lack of sealant, removal of vegetation and more. With this years heavy rainfall it has caused accelerated erosion on ditches, driveways and lawns.

Most water issues can be avoided by diverting the path water is coming from such as French drains, proper crown/pitch on your driveway, channel drains, gutter drains, keeping up with maintaining your culvert and ditch line, pitch away from your house and swales.

The first step to any solution is proper planning, especially when building your new home. We have been called out to a few new builds where the surrounding area is sloped right to the basement doors. What can cost a little now can prevent thousands in repairs later.

One acre food plot we did in Barryville NY. In the beginning we were unsure if we had to bring in material due to the massive amount of rock beneath the surface on the other side of the property. After a couple test holes throughout we realized the soil was suitable with minimal rock. We started off by pulling the high side down to the low side to level the area providing slight pitch to avoid water pooling. While doing that we had used the rock sourced throughout to put a natural wall on the high side. To reduce hauling costs and leaving a pile on the property we did a controlled burn of the stumps/vegetation. After everything was burned we finished grading the area then brought in the rock hound to grab any small rock that were left behind leaving the property owner a suitable area for a food plot.
