I'm grateful to be part of a community that believes so strongly in investing in people. ✨

Thank you to the CrossWorks team for your kind words and for the work you do helping leaders and organizations grow with intention.

One of the greatest gifts of this work is the community we get to be part of. Leaders who choose to invest in others and create space for people to grow.

Cathy Lindemann is one of those leaders.

She shows up with generosity, intention, and a steady commitment to connecting and supporting the people around her. Her impact can be seen in the relationships she builds, the leaders she develops, and the communities she helps strengthen.

We are proud to celebrate her recent honors:
🏆 Women of Distinction
🏆 2026 Enterprise Women of the Year

These recognitions from Women's Business Enterprise Council Ohio River Valley and Enterprising Women Magazine reflect what so many already experience through her leadership.

Cathy, we are grateful you are part of this community and for the way you continue to lift others. 🩵

Investing to scale looks different than people think ✨

It’s not always the big, flashy investment.

Sometimes it’s investing in the right people.
The right systems.
The right support.
And sometimes, yourself.

One thing I’ve learned is that sustainable growth rarely happens by accident.
It happens when leaders are willing to ask:
Where is my energy needed most?
What investments today will create the biggest impact tomorrow?

For me, investing to scale has meant learning where to invest my time, energy, leadership, and support differently — while continuing to evolve alongside the business.

Because growth isn’t just about expanding the business.

It’s about expanding your capacity to lead it well 💜

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing more about what “investing to scale” has looked like in my own journey.

Reflecting on this month and Small Business Week, I keep coming back to one question: what actually drives sustainable growth?

The businesses that grow aren’t doing more —
they’re clearer on what matters.

Clear on their standards.
Clear on where their time is best spent.
And clear on what to delegate — and when.

This isn’t just something I’ve seen in practice — it’s being reinforced more broadly.

I came across a Forbes article this week that put it into words well:
The Power of Letting Go: Why Delegation Drives Organizational Success
👉 http://bit.ly/3PdUY5S

Because delegation isn’t just about getting things off your plate.

It’s a leadership decision that builds trust, creates ownership, and allows a business to grow beyond the person leading it.

The shift isn’t doing more.
It’s letting go — with clarity.

It’s been a full month ✨

From speaking events and community conversations to supporting incredible organizations and leaders — this season has been a good reminder that none of it happens alone.

Delegation has created the space for me to grow Evolution, stay connected to the community, support other leaders, and still make time for what matters outside of work too 💜

That’s why I’m so passionate about these conversations.

Not because delegation is a trend — but because I’ve experienced firsthand how clarity and intentional delegation can change the way you lead, work, and live.

If leadership, delegation, and work-life integration are conversations you care about too — or you’re interested in having me speak — my DMs are open. Let’s connect!

Letting go to grow ✨

Lately, I’ve been realizing that delegation creates growth far beyond business.

Yes, it helps teams grow.
Yes, it helps businesses scale.

But it also creates space for personal growth too.

Space to think differently.
To evolve.
To stay connected to what matters outside of work. 🤍

I’m in a season of growth right now, and delegation has been one of the tools helping me move through it with more clarity and intention.

Sometimes growth isn’t about adding more.

It’s about knowing what to release.

My heart is full 💜

Being surrounded by so many incredible women at the WBEC ORV Women of Distinction luncheon was beyond powerful.

The conversations, the stories, the support, the intentionality behind every detail… it all felt incredibly meaningful.

One thing that really stayed with me:
We often don’t realize the ripple effect we’re creating while we’re busy building, leading, and simply showing up each day.

The keynote from Driven to Succeed LLC CEO Kristen Harper especially challenged me to think deeper about the next season of life and leadership — and reminded me that sometimes growth requires closing one chapter before stepping into the next ✨

Leaving this one feeling grateful, inspired, and reflective.

The small businesses that stand out aren’t doing more.
They’re clearer.

After highlighting a few this month, I kept coming back to that — and it’s something I’ve had to learn in my own business, too.

At Evolution creative solutions, that means getting intentional about where my time is best spent… and where it’s not.

Letting our team own ex*****on
Trusting others to lead projects
Focusing my time on relationships and growth

Because without that clarity, everything bottlenecks.

Delegation isn’t just about handing things off —
it’s what allows a business to actually grow ✨

This is why I love working with small business owners 💜

This year, I had the chance to work with Ashley Rapp, owner of Oliver’s Desserts, through the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program — and she is doing something really special.

She’s creating desserts that meet real dietary needs — without compromising on taste.

Gluten-free, vegan… whatever the need, she makes it work.

And not as a substitute — it actually tastes amazing.

I’ve tried almost everything she makes.
These cupcakes (gluten-free + vegan) made it to our Easter table… and no one knew the difference 👏

That’s what makes it so good.

This is also what I love about the 10KSB community — the way small business owners support each other and create something meaningful along the way.

If you’re looking for something special Oliver's Desserts is one worth knowing.

The Women’s Enterprise Forum brings together experienced WBENC-Certified WBEs to share knowledge, strengthen leadership, and elevate the voice of women entrepreneurs across the network.

As a Tier 2 company, this community has created opportunities for EVO to connect with larger organizations in ways everyday business doesn’t always allow. It gives us a chance to stay engaged, build relationships, and recognize the importance of companies that actively support women-owned businesses.

That’s why I’m looking forward to continuing that momentum at the 2026 National Conference, June 15–18 in Salt Lake City.

This is where ideas turn into strategies, introductions into partnerships, and conversations into real opportunity. With this year’s theme, IMPACT, the focus is on accelerating growth and strengthening the connections that move businesses forward.

I’m especially looking forward to reconnecting with colleagues and partners—like Kittie Watson from Innolect Inc. We first met through 10,000 Small Businesses in 2016, and already have plans to catch up over breakfast at this year’s conference.

If you’ll be there, I’d love to connect.

The best moms don’t do everything.
And neither do the best leaders.

They guide.
They support.
They create space for others to step up.

That’s delegation.

Not handing work off —
but building confidence and ownership in others.

If you’ve been holding onto too much (because you care), this is your reminder 👇

Letting go isn’t a weakness.
It’s part of the work.

To the women and caregivers who show up in ways big and small — at home, at work, and everywhere in between — this kind of leadership matters.

Happy Mother’s Day 💜
