After last nights storms that came through, the Miller softball field bleachers were pushed up into the netting behind home plate. Those winds were no joke! We put the crane to use and got them pulled out and set back up right. We’re not sure if they’ll be usable after being torn up like that, but for now they’re back on the ground and much less of an eyesore and safety hazard.

Today wraps up what has been one of the best parts of starting Rickbee’s. I started this business 4 years ago to be able to spend more time with my family. I have traveled extensively over my career and I just couldn’t be away from them any longer. High school was in full swing for both of our kids. What I never anticipated was how big of a part of starting and growing Rickbee’s Christian would be. This young man was always eager to jump in with both feet! From -10 to 110 temps, dusty dry to pouring rain. All the meanwhile never complained, just eager to help. And when I say help I actually mean make a real hand! He’s excelled in this field with a first place at State Skills USA and a 10th place at Nationals competition. He will continue his education starting next week. Christian will be attending classes at State Tech in Linn. He will be in the Caterpillar Think Big program and will be working his internships at Fabick Cat in Springfield.

I cannot express my gratitude for the support this young man has been. Thank you Son. We are very proud and we look forward to your journey that awaits you.

Keep Praying, Quit worrying and keep working. Keep your faith in God and know He will never leave your side. Love you Bub!

I have had the pleasure of using this shop for my equipment repair business for the past three years. If you want to learn a lasting professional trade I highly recommend you go talk to Guy Orr. He is a wealth of knowledge, go work for him and learn all you can! It’s called job security you will have a long lasting career! The result could be you become a productive member of society which of course is beneficial to the rest of society!!!!

We have a job opening for a young man or woman who is willing to fill an apprenticeship role. No experience needed. No tools needed. Only requirements are:

Job description includes but is not limited to:

You’ll start out tearing apart engines, cleaning parts, and organizing parts. As well as learning to check heads and cranks out. Will also be helping load and unload customer vehicles. From there the sky is the limit, if you stick with it and are willing to learn each day then we will show you the rest. Uniforms are provided after 90 days. Pay will be based upon previous experience.

About us:

We started out in Springfield, Mo in 1966 as a small speed shop. Over the years we have grown into a full machine shop with customers spread across the country and a few even out of the country. We no longer work on vehicles and we strictly stick to what we do best and that is machine work. Anything from dirt bikes to tractors all the way to 1000+hp drag race engines. We specialize is diesels and we do A LOT of it. We stay 4-6 weeks behind year round if not more. There is plenty of work to do and plenty to learn. Our new shop is located right off I-44 a few minutes outside of Springfield. It’s a nice, clean shop with nice equipment and tools. And with the new completion of our add on this year it is now double the size.

This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning a trade such as this. It is becoming a lost art form. This isn’t just a job for someone this is a career. If this is something that interest you then swing by the shop sometime or give us a call! 🏁🏁🏁

In case you haven’t already heard it on the news or at the coffee shop... Severe cold weather is on its way!!!

I have a couple relative questions for you...

#1. When was the last time you changed your fuel filters?

#2. Do you have any spare fuel filters on hand?

#3. Have you treated your fuel? No I don’t mean “did you buy treated fuel?” DID YOU DUMP SOMETHING EXTRA IN IT YET?

I recommend some Power Service (white bottle) in the tank dose it heavy! Then keep the Power Service 911 (red bottle) on hand just in case!!!

If your diesel engine starts to gel up and loose power do not try to rev it up and power through it! Dump the 911 bottle in and let it idle if it will.

It’s not a guarantee you won’t gel up... these newer emissions tier 4 engines are more prone to giving problems... long story!!! Good luck, keep warm and feel free to give us a call if you have troubles!

2022 Purple Star Schools (all from the Warrensburg R-VI School District)
• Warrensburg High School
• Warrensburg Middle School
• Maple Grove Elementary
• Martin Warren Elementary
• Sterling Elementary
• Ridgeview Elementary
“We are especially thankful for our state’s commitment to our service members,” said Commissioner of Education Margie Vandeven. “As we continue to celebrate April as the Month of the Military Child, it is an honor to award these four school districts and six schools with the Purple Star designation. Each district and school works year-round to support our service members and their families, while also ensuring our military children are prepared to pursue their dreams after high school.”
This designation is awarded to military-friendly local education agencies (LEAs) that have demonstrated a major commitment to students and families connected to our nation’s military — including active duty, National Guard or Reserve members, and military veterans. LEAs that earn this designation will receive a special Purple Star recognition to display onsite and on the school district (or individual school building) website.
