We started this page after the flooding in Millington May 1, 2010 after losing our home. A lot has happened since then, and we sincerely hope everyone who experienced the heartache and loss of flooding has been able to rebuild their lives. This page has been inactive for a long time, so in the coming weeks it will merge with our local business and this page will be phased out. Thank you to every person who made a difference with moral support, donations and time!

Everyone out there living in the MidSouth area, please be cautious tonight and aware of the weather. Its easy to forget how damaging it can be, especially if you've never been in a dangerous situation. Keep important things handy, pay attention to warning sirens, and have a candle or flashlight ready in the event of a power outage.

BREAKING NEWS: TDOT is on the scene now putting the barricade back up on Watkins. Watkins is now closed again in both directions at Highway 51.

Unfortunately it's been difficult to get up to date info on the Shelby Forest, Northaven, and Frasier areas. Many residents on streets like Locke Road, Fite, etc are flooded or at a serious risk of it. Please be careful, and remember, DON'T DROWN, TURN AROUND!

We’ve just received this “detour map.” It shows an alternative route to enter and leave those neighborhoods.
Here are bullet points about the detour:
Northaven Alternative Route to Highway 51

• Follow Watkins north to Locke Cuba
• Turn right onto Locke Cuba
• Turn right onto Russell Bond
• Turn left onto Shake Rag
• Turn right onto Shelby to Highway 51

Our local business nearly lost everything during the flood May 1. Now we are working to rebuild!

BREAKING NEWS: People who live in the Rosewood Trailer Park on Thomas, north of Watkins, are leaving their homes right now. Water has risen inside 25 trailers.
A MATA bus is on the way to take residents to the Assistance Center at the Raleigh Springs Mall for shelter assignments. Action News 5 has a crew on the way to the scene. We'll have updates throughout the day.
