God created you for a unique reason.

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10).

Society encourages people to be less like themselves and more like someone else to be accepted. People should like you for who you are, not how smart you are, what you look like, or what you can do.

We don't have to be the best at something, the smartest person, or the most skilled individual to be loved by God or by others. God’s plans for our lives are unique to us. This is in agreement with Jeremiah 29:11, “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”

God has unique good works for you to do throughout your life. Step out in faith and confidence knowing that the Lord is guiding your steps. Follow Him, honor Him, and trust Him with your life.

Finding God's will and purpose for your life: Day 4

A common question is how do I know husband will.
His guidance can be unmistakably clear, but when it is not or a quick or difficult decision arises, discernment is essential.

If we are not intentionally pursuing God’s will, we might be led by other influences, often without realizing it.

Here are things that hinder in following God's will:
1. Relying on your reasoning or emotions. Proverbs 3:5-6
2. Following your desires when they do not align with God’s will cause you to settle for less than His best, causing discontent and regret. (Galatians 5:16 NIV)
3. Motives or desires rooted in pride, fear, or personal gain can distort judgment, oppose God’s wisdom, and lead you off course. (James 4:3 NIV)
4. Making quick decisions impatiently rather than waiting on God’s direction and timing. (Psalm 27:14 NIV)
5. Pleasing other people instead of God can distract you and lead you to take on roles and roads not meant for you. (Galatians 1:10 NIV)
6. Conforming to society’s influence causes you to drift from godly principles and exchange the deeper fulfillment God offers for temporary satisfaction or worldly success. (1 John 2:15-17 NIV).

The more we grow in our relationship with God, learn and apply His Word, the more we can sense the difference between His desires and our own or those from outside influences.

Agnosticism and Atheism:

Isaiah 55:8-9

New International Version

"8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts."

There are people who don't believe there is a God...they label themselves as >Atheists who are convinced that God doesn’t exist. Then there are the >Agnostics who embrace uncertainty, either because they’re still in the process of sorting out evidence or don't think it's possible.

Most dismiss God because they want to continue or do things that go against or destroy God's creations (crime, lifestyles). However, there is no way to avoid God in the universe that HE created.

I touched on this this morning 🌄 because social media which reaches many, is full of "discussions" on religion and beliefs. I see a lot of blasphemous comments..disturbing for the most part.
But I want to encourage Believers to not be discouraged or swayed but to keep the faith because chaos did not create this universe nor all therein. A loving and orderly being did..lest you would have stars falling, planets not able to stay in orbit, air sucked out of the earth..you get the picture. Only mankind creates disorder.

Simply life itself from start to finish and the intricacies of the human body..how parts work..shows God’s hands. We have a family Doctor who believes and declares God's handiwork..to hear that from such a professional 👏 who looks after you is a blessing. He has studied "medicine" but knows it all starts with God.

No argument or act of kindness is enough to bring someone’s heart to God. Witnessing prepares the way and the Holy Spirit can lead someone through that final step. If you encounter such beliefs, patiencely pray for wisdom and good soil in the heart. Then take comfort in knowing the Spirit’s work is evidence like no other.

Finally, remember to advise yourself and as you witness, of the words in Isaiah 55: verses 8-9... no one has the mind of God and are not on the level to figure it out..look around and know there is a God.

Daily we see and hear words spoken carelessly, wreckless and maliciously by people who cannot control their tongues. Their actions wreak havoc that can last a lifetime and beyond. The book of James speaks of such things.

James 3:6

"6.The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell."

Scripture also tells us that the tongue is like a fire. It may be small, but the effects of talking and misusing our words can spread as quickly as wildfire and prove just as dangerous. The tongue is also difficult to control and tame (James 3:7-8).

God taught that we would have to give an account for every idle or careless word we spoke, including those that bite and hurt others (Matthew 12:36-37). Though we might dismiss some of what we say, thinking it is only a small flame in a world of burning fires, Christ redirects us. He shows us that we are accountable for even the seemingly insignificant statements we make to/about others.

Matthew 12:36-37

"36. But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.
37. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Let that set in your spirit.

Amen

With the instability in USPS mail delivery all over, it is best to create a spreadsheet or manual ledger for bills/correspondence due dates. This simply ensures that their instability does not impact yours for those who haven't already done so.

Isaiah 40:12-13

12. Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance?
13. Who can fathom the Spirit of the LORD, or instruct the LORD as his counselor?

Be ready for spiritual attacks:

Ephesians 6:10-18

Every morning when you wake up, you need to put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, the sword of the Spirit, and to pray in the Spirit at all times. By doing these things, you will be prepared when evil comes lurking.

The Armor of God:

Ephesians 6:10-18

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

People don't take God seriously...at their own demise:

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding” (Proverbs 9:10)."

Nobody can be really wise except if he fears the Lord. This is not only about respect, yet it does not infer panic and terror.

Some Individuals imagine that they can become savvy through life experience and scholastic information alone. Yet, if we do not recognize God as the wellspring of wisdom, then the core for using sound judgment is temperamental, and we are ill-fated to stupid decisions.

The people who appropriately comprehend God's position have a reasonable perspective on the real world, prompting knowledge and improved results and a better life.

So unless one can create a Universe and all therein, you are not as wise as God and will be wise to take Him seriously.

It is because of the Lord’s mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great and abundant is Your stability and faithfulness. - Lamentations 3:22-23 (AMPC)

Jesus chose disciples who had weaknesses and made mistakes, but He continued working with them and helping them become all that they could be. Thankfully, He will do the same thing for you, if you will let Him.

God is full of mercy and loving-kindness!
