Last Friday, and I tried something for the first time.

It was our first collaboration and it was MAGICAL.

We had 18 women in a room together, from Madison, to Chicago, to Delaware. Different backgrounds, ages, places in life, etc.

And they all showed up with open hearts, kindness, and a willingness to be vulnerable.

Three hours of deep thoughts and reflections, tears of laughter, tears of heartfelt sentiment, snacks, and games.

This R.E.A.L. Confidence framework we’ve crafted is doing something, ladies. It’s cracking open this previous conception of imposter syndrome and it’s making it light and fun and it’s a blast.

My heart is so full from Friday. Thank you to all those who came out.

And thank you to Kate for being such an incredible partner. I adore you.

In this episode of Make Business Personal, I talks about the importance of processes in increasing efficiency, profitability, and scalability in business. I highlight that creating and documenting processes is crucial for increasing the value of a business and making it less reliant on the owner. I discuss three types of processes: client-facing methodology, internal deliverable processes, and backend operational processes.
Lastly, I mention the significance of mapping out processes to delegate tasks and create systems to support ex*****on.

Being an entrepreneur is hard.

Sharing your dreams and your visions is hard.

Finding the strength to be vulnerable is hard.

Finding the will not to give up is hard.

But when you have the right people who want to see you succeed and believe in you even when you don’t believe in you, well, that makes things a little easier.

I just received this custom journal sent to me from the amazing on the other side of the world and I got a bit emotional.

I am so grateful to Gill and to the many others who have my back, keep believing in me, and continue to cheer me on in this entrepreneurial journey.

Find your people and take good care of them ❤️

Book update: currently at 44k words!

I’m getting there, slowly but surely.

Here’s what I discovered over the weekend:
- I can write about 1k words per hour
- I can SPEAK about 2k words per hour

So now I’m on a mission to walk and verbally dictate a few times a week for at least an hour a piece and then I’m joining writing sprints to clean up the content later. I figure I’ll be able to knock out about 8k-10k words per week that way so I can wrap up my forst draft by the end of August. Then start the self-editing process!

Ooooo baby, writing a book is no joke!

Let’s do this.

This morning I kicked off a six week editing program with the one and only AJ Harper to help me get through the next phases of writing and editing my book, Make Business Personal.

I know I have a lot of work ahead of me, but I’ve never been more excited to bring something I’ve created to the world because I know it will change lives.

So please consider my public service announcement: if you don’t hear from me for the next six months, this is why.

Here we gooooo!
