Beginning November 27th in Largo, Florida…the “Holiday Lights in the Gardens” celebration at the Florida Botanical Gardens turns the property into a glowing holiday wonderland with more than one million LED lights spread throughout the grounds. Running nightly through January 2nd from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., the event lets you walk winding garden paths surrounded by trees wrapped in sparkling lights, colorful displays, illuminated plants, and bright holiday scenes. One of the biggest highlights is the multi-colored light tunnel, along with an 18-foot Christmas tree shining in the Wedding Garden. You can also look for glowing snowmen, lighted animal figures including rebar turtles, laser projections, and displays that flash and change along with holiday music. Model trains travel through parts of the decorated gardens, while live local performers and entertainers add even more to the evening. Families can also visit the Majeed Discovery Garden, and food vendors sell seasonal drinks, treats, and warm snacks. The event is ADA accessible and pet-friendly for leashed pets. Admission is a suggested $10 donation for ages 12 and older, with free parking available at both garden entrances.
