We serve everyone from SE Portland to Salem and everywhere in between. Oregon Patrol Service provides vehicle and site patrol services, rapid response services, special enforcement services, and government and municipal services to the Portland Metro Area and surrounding areas.

CURRENT Oregon Armed/Unarmed DPSST Certification

Personal duty equipment (duty belt, OC, handcuffs, flashlight, etc.)

Must write legibly and have strong written/verbal/communication skills in English. Bilingual is a plus.

Appearance standards are high (uniform & presentation), as well as personal grooming standards.

Availability - Weekends/Holidays/Nights (depending on position assignments)
Personal Cell Phone and a personal car for reliable transportation

Compensation is structured, fair, competitive and aggressive to start. It's even better than industry rates, if you stay and grow. After 90 days we will asses your performance and reassess your placement and wages.

We have openings for full-time and part-time Park Ranger opportunities. These positions have an immediate start that takes you from onboarding to training and servicing parks beginning Memorial Day weekend. We are looking for those experienced officers that have a reliable work standard, have exemplary public relations skills, are strong problem-solvers and prefer to find resolutions while in the field. If you love to be outside, working with the public, have a great attitude, and have law enforcement or military experience, we need to talk to you!

Duties include:

* Informational, educational & enforcement contacts with public in city/county parks;

* Follow directives and post orders in accordance with all city and county guidelines;

* Issuance of citations for municipal and county codes;

* Follow chain-of-command on all scheduling and client issues;

* Produce accurate and thorough reporting per company, municipal and county guidelines;

* Foot and vehicle patrol shifts with bicycle use opportunities.

Minimum Requirements:

CURRENT Oregon Unarmed or Armed DPSST Certification

DMV History that meets our insurer's criteria
Taser/ECW qualified
Bicycle patrol experience is a plus
Able to stand and walk majority of shift with occasional climbing and lifting

Amid this current pandemic of COVID-19 police across the country are being pressed to their limit. Morale is tanking and the stresses of the job are ever-increasing. We here at Oregon Patrol Service are here to help!
So many businesses and communities are being overrun by the riots and transients that have taken over our cities! The police are doing all that they can to help protect us, but there is only so much they can do. Oregon Patrol is here to bridge that gap! We can provide a sense of security for your businesses, homes, and properties. Even help you sleep better at night knowing there is someone out there all through the night watching over your business!
