📰 Two of our own featured in Nspire Today! 🚒

We’re proud to see two members of the Minatare/Melbeta Volunteer Fire Department featured in recent issues of Nspire Today.

🔥 Terry Intermill was featured for his nearly two decades of fire service, his dedication to helping others, and the department he considers family.

🚑🔥 Heather Neideffer was featured as a third-generation fire responder, sharing her experience navigating both fire and medical emergencies and carrying on a family tradition of serving others.

Two different stories. Two different paths into the fire service. But the same commitment to helping people and serving our community.

We’re proud to have both of them as members of our department and grateful for the time, experience, and dedication they bring to the team.

Congratulations, Terry and Heather! We’re proud to call you part of the Minatare/Melbeta Volunteer Fire Department! ❤️🚒

Thank you to Nspire Today! for highlighting our members and the work volunteer firefighters do in our communities.

That’s a wrap on another racing season! 🚒🏁🚑

Tonight was our last EMS standby of the season, and what a season it’s been! It’s always a privilege to be there supporting the drivers, crews, families, and fans who make race nights at Hiway 92 so much fun.

A huge thank you to everyone who trusted us to be there when you needed us. And an even bigger thank you to our crews who spent countless nights at the track, giving their time and being ready to answer the call whenever needed. ❤️

Until next season… stay safe, keep the rubber side down, and we’ll see you at the track! 🏁🚑🚒

Hi Way 92 Raceway Park — thanks for another great season!

Our dive team got in some valuable training today! We spent the day refamiliarizing ourselves with our dive equipment, reviewing procedures, and getting back into the water to keep our skills sharp.

Our department currently has six firefighters who are dive certified, giving us an additional specialized capability when responding to water emergencies.

Specialized skills require consistent training, and today was a great opportunity to refresh our knowledge, build confidence, and make sure we’re ready when our community needs us.

Great work by everyone who got in the water today! 🌊🤿🚒

Train today. Be ready tomorrow.

Special thank you to Bridgeport Volunteer Fire Department - Nebraska for training with us!

The goal isn’t just knowing how to operate the tools. It’s understanding what you’re cutting, what’s behind it, and how that cut can affect the vehicle, the patient, and your crew.

Train smart. Cut smart. Stay safe. 🚒👨‍🚒

A heartfelt thank you to Snell Services Inc. for the generous donation for our fire hall. Thursday they donated an amazing flag to our department due to ours not being in the best shape. We are greatly appreciate of your generosity.

Nothing brings a community together quite like a hometown parade. Proud to represent our department and serve the people who support us every day. Thank you to everyone who came out and waved—we loved seeing all the smiling faces!

Being a firefighter is more than responding to emergencies. It’s serving your community when people need help the most. Every call is different, every day brings new challenges, and every member of this department plays a role in protecting the people we serve. If you’re looking for purpose, teamwork, and the chance to make a difference, we’re looking for you.

Stop down at the Minatare station on Monday nights for an application.

We always enjoy getting out in the community and talking with kids about fire prevention. Today, we covered who to call in an emergency, why firefighters may look different in full gear, and why there’s no need to be afraid—they’re there to help. Of course, we also practiced the important “Stop, Drop, and Roll” technique.

To wrap up the day, everyone had the chance to explore the fire truck and even spray water from the hose. We’re truly grateful for the opportunity to share what we love while helping educate and connect with our community.

Thank you so much for having us!
