Hey Friends, I'm starting a little free database of industry people. It's like Pollstar, but free. And probably more accurate. Just added it today. Link is below and in the bio of the group here. It's viewer only because it's pretty and I don't want anyone to ruin it. BUT, if anyone wants to be added, or access to add themselves/other info please let me know and I'll get you set up! Favorite Son is so happy to announce the newest addition to our roster, ! She’s in the midst of some beautiful things, and will be out on the road very soon! Stay tuned for dates in cities near you, and some new vinyl!

Over the span of her career, Jolie Holland has knotted together a century of American song—jazz, blues, soul, rock and roll—into some stew that is impossible to categorize with any conventional critical terminology. This is her burden and her gift, to know all of these American songs of the last ten decades in her head and her heart and to have to wrestle with their legacy. She dives straight to the pathos of a song the way the very greatest singers, singers like Mavis Staples, Al Green, Skip James, or Tom Waits, do. Upon first encounter, her songs seem challenging, perhaps unsettling at times, but as so many poets and rockers have shown us (from Dante Alighieri to William Blake to Sylvia Plath to Patti Smith to Nick Cave to Mark E. Smith) that’s where the beauty lies. As evident on her first recordings, Holland apparently has no fear of the truth, and there is no emotional core that she cannot reach in song.
She has some phenomenal projects in the works, and we’re excited to be a part of her journey!

If Norah Jones, Joni Mitchell, and Phoebe Bridgers had a baby," that baby would be Abigayle Kompst. Hailing from the city of neon lights, showgirls, and gambling machines, the 22-year-old singer/songwriter moved to Nashville in 2018.
Abigayle’s career took its biggest ever step forward in 2022 when she released her debut EP, Vegas. Complete with four singles, “We Found Heaven,” “Vegas,” “Making All This Up,” and “i blame the tv,” Vegas tells a handful of stories about Abigayle’s upbringing in Sin City, how she processes her relationships and adult life through that lens, and her reflections on the beauty and importance of relationships. Vegas is available to stream now on all musical platforms. We can't wait to see all the places she'll go!

Favorite Son is excited to announce that we’re working with the talented new artist !
Twenty-one-year-old New England-born folksinger and songwriter Joshua Quimby is paving his own fresh path within Americana music. The now Nashville, TN-based artist combines his powerful voice, expressively raw lyricism, and folk/blues/country guitar picking to produce distinctly unique and genuine material.
A deep-set passion and respect for the timeless work of songwriters the likes of Bob Dylan, John Prine, and Hank Williams, Sr. amongst many others inspire Joshua’s own writing and motivation for his music. Equipped with a sound that is rustic and righteous; tried and true - Joshua has many stories to tell.

We’re so happy to have joining us! Help us give them a warm welcome! With a blend of dreamy acoustic duets, foot-stomping Folk, and bluesy murder ballads, New Zealand-born and Nashville-based South for Winter’s sound is as eclectic as their origins. The band is composed of New Zealander Nick Stone, Colorado native Dani Cichon, and Michigander Alex Stradal, and together the three multi-instrumentalists and songwriters combine elements such as cello, guitar, mandolin, and three-part harmonies into a genre-bending sound described by American Songwriter as “impeccable.”
