Will you share your story?

Our stories are powerful. Courageous Change Collective is so excited to be partnering with the MN StoryCollective to gather the stories of Minnesotans and connect them with decision makers in our State who shape the policies, programs and services that impact our daily lives.

Submitting your story takes about 15-20 minutes, it’s totally anonymous and it’s done through a user-friendly online platform with guided prompts.

If you are interested in submitting your story click here and submit your name and email so we can send you a link to the story collection tool: https://forms.gle/Wp2pWKXptrT6EPvY8

Below is a little more information about submitting a story:
We would love for you to join us in sharing your story about what it’s like to live in Minnesota. It can be any story that you feel shares an important experience. It might be a story of triumph or joy - or a story of challenge and struggle. We welcome all stories. As you think about what story you might share, we offer the following for you to consider:
When was the last time you thought to yourself:
- I don’t think it should be this way
- Someone should do something about this

Submitting your story doesn’t take long, about 15-20 minutes:
-First you’ll share your story - as long or short as you choose.
- Then you’ll answer some questions about your story. Rather than us assuming what your experience meant - we’ll ask you: was it a positive or negative experience? What supported you during the experience?
- Finally we’ll ask a few questions about who you are so that decision makers can understand how different communities in our state are impacted.

We want to thank you in advance for sharing your story with us and joining us in this effort to improve the future of our state!

Courageous Change Collective celebrated 5 years on August 20th! We are proud of what we’ve built together and so grateful for all the partnerships and projects we’ve collaborated on over these past five years.

The work of supporting community has been such a reciprocal journey for us. We’ve learned more about who we are, how to live our values, and how we can build a sustainable organizational culture. We’ve met amazing people, built lifelong connections and expanded our knowledge. In the midst of a time period marked by uncertainty, disruption and grief - we’ve claimed joy and leaned into community.

Celebrating our anniversary felt like a way to reflect on our first five years and powerfully begin our next five years!

Thank you so much to everyone who came to celebrate with us 💜

Wrapping up our spring retreat at The Fields at Root Springs. The land held and supported us as we reflected, imagined and got s**t done. From hiking at Lake Maria State Park, to enjoying the sauna at the Wellness Center, to napping in the Octavia Butler Dome we are grateful for this time together. Reflection is a key part of what sustains our courage and fuels our imagination.

Laughter is resistance. Laughter is medicine. Our team was so grateful to be nourished by the brilliant humor of our fellow collective the Funny Asian Women Kollective this past Saturday!

It was such a powerful time of community coming together to claim joy. In our latest blog post we talk about refusing to surrender our joy as we seek to maintain our courage in these times: https://www.courageouschangecollective.org/post/courage-doesn-t-just-arise-from-nowhere
