It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our founding members, FOX .😢

May Allah forgive him for his sins and grant him eternal peace.🤲🏾

Together, we made history. We stood on the front lines during the civil unrest following the murder of , putting our lives on the line to protect our community. Our work made national headlines, appearing on the front page of TMZ, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post Magazine, Los Angeles Times , VICE, CBS News, ABC News, Kstp News, Kare11 News. NBC, and more. But beyond the recognition, what we did was about love, duty, and courage.

Larry was a veteran, a community activist, a leader, a frontline hero, a father, a friend, and so much more. We often had “the talks”, preparing for the worst possible outcome, reminding each other, “Make sure my kids are good and tell them I love them.” His good deeds, sacrifices, and unwavering commitment to our people will never be forgotten.

The impact of our actions, and the weight we have carried since, is something few will ever truly understand. PTSD and mental health struggles are real. We encourage everyone to seek help, to help someone you love get help, and to approach life with kindness, patience, and grace. Life is hard, so let us spread love instead of hate.

Rest in power, Larry. 🫡💜🏅

Today MNFF x For The Community Foundation was able to help spread holiday joy amongst families across the Twin Cities. We captured a few moments from the event and as you can see, all smiles and joy.

We appreciate the continued support from the community. Thanks to everyone who shares the same or similar mission as we do. We are still working to create a safer environment and better community.
