DigiSkill Training Course: Sustainable Project Management Presented by Youth Power!!🔭🚀

🌱 Next month, in November, our Owner & Senior Principal Consultant Esmeal Sheriff, PMP, MPM, BsBA, CAPM, CMgt,SMC, of Execultant Consultancy LLC , will be conducting four DigiSkill training courses on Sustainable Project Management in partnership with Youth Power, a non-governmental organization (NGO) whose work involves instilling positive values in young people, promoting healthy lifestyles, advancing gender equity, fostering a nonviolent society and more. 🤝🌍

I am highly delighted to have this opportunity to share my knowledge and expertise in Sustainable Project Management and continue my efforts to promote practical project management approaches that deliver more than just results. 🎯🚀

DigiSkill Training Course: Sustainable Project Management

How can we manage digital projects successfully while creating long-term value, considering their impact and responding effectively to changing expectations?

Join our fifth and final DigiSkill Training Course, starting on 5 November, focused on Sustainable Project Management. Through practical examples, interactive activities and real-life project situations, participants will explore how to plan and manage digital projects with sustainability, impact and long-term thinking in mind.

Throughout the course, participants will gain practical insights into:
- Sustainable approaches to project management
- Digital tools for effective project planning and management
- Planning and managing project impact
- Expectations and stakeholder management
- Building sustainability into digital projects
- Applying project management skills to real-life situations

One of the most accurate project estimation methods is Bottom-Up Estimating, which uses the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)—especially valuable in traditional or waterfall projects. 🏗️📋

This week, take a moment to review your project scope and identify your deliverables. Break them down into smaller, manageable work packages.

🔹 Estimate the time required for each activity in each work package. ⏱️
🔹 Identify and estimate the associated costs with each work package. 💰
🔹 Start at the lowest WBS level and work your way up to the project level.

The aggregated estimates ultimately provide your overall project cost and schedule estimates. 📈

One of the most accurate methods of project estimation is the Bottom-Up Estimating Technique. This approach uses the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)—a popular project management tool that should never go unnoticed, especially for projects using a traditional or waterfall delivery approach. 🏗️📋

This week, take some time to analyze your project scope and identify your deliverables. Then, decompose those deliverables into smaller, manageable components to form your work packages.

🔹 Use your expert knowledge and available information to estimate how long it will take to complete each activity within each work package.

🔹 Do the same for cost estimating, but this time, factor in all known cost elements associated with each work package. 💰

🔹 Start at the lowest level of the WBS and work your way up, estimating each work package and aggregating the estimates as you go.

By the time you reach the project level of the WBS, the aggregated total becomes your overall project cost estimate. 📈
