Marcia “Ma” Purdy is a biological mother of three and a surrogate mother to many. With a Masters in Education, Ma is an “Out” Ally trainer and development presenter as well as a instructor at Iowa State University, working to train current and future teachers on making schools safe for LGBT students. In addition to her work as an educator, Ma Purdy also supports the LGBT community through her role as a ceremonial officiant specializing in same s*x weddings.
