Annual NCS Fishing Showdown 🎣

Good times on Mille Lacs Lake with our NCS crew! Proud to bring our Northland team and families together and celebrate the people who make Northland who we are.

A few event highlights:
• Biggest Fish: Kelly (Ryan’s significant other) reeled in a 19¾” walleye
• Smallest Fish: Tanner 5”
• First Fish, 1st Shift: Jacob (Samuel’s son)
• First Fish, 2nd Shift: Joel
• Most Unique Catch: Alice (Shawn’s daughter)
• Funniest Fishing Photo: Bryan

The reigning record for biggest fish still belongs to our employee’s significant other. Way to go, Kelly! 🏆 (Damion’s wife took the title last year)

Day of the Dozers

Duluth Pedestrian Bridge Replacement

Our 350-ton and 550-ton cranes teamed up to remove the existing pedestrian bridge and set the new structure in place.

The biggest challenge was working around an elevated highway where, due to the allowable weight limits on the bridge, setting the cranes up on the roadway was not a feasible option. Removing the existing bridge and installing the new girders required careful planning, precise coordination, and a lot of teamwork to make it happen.

This bridge is an important gateway into Duluth and a key connection for pedestrians and the community. We’re proud to have been part of making this important connection safer and more accessible for everyone.

Overnight shifts, long hours, and hard work from the entire crew brought this project across the finish line. Huge shoutout to everyone who made it happen!

We had the opportunity to be part of a pretty unique project in Mankato with the historic Kern Bridge. The 100,000-lb bridge section took some serious planning and coordination, including a 165-ton crane and two mid-air transfers before the final set using a 550-ton and 900-ton crane.

Fun fact: the Kern Bridge was built in 1873 and is the oldest surviving bowstring truss bridge in Minnesota.

Pretty awesome to see a piece of Minnesota history being put back in place.

⛳️ — Teeing Up for the Championship — ⛳️

Our team successfully craned restroom trailers and HVAC units into place on Hazeltine’s iconic 18th green in preparation for the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship later this month.

We're grateful for the opportunity to contribute behind the scenes to this world-class event and help provide the essential infrastructure that keeps everything running smoothly.

We matted in with crane mats to protect the paver driveway while our 60 ton set 5 privacy trees for the homeowner. 🌲🏗️
