SPS Companies is a wholesale distributor of products and services for residential and commercial plumbing, mechanical and industrial piping, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and fire protection. Our Plumbing & Heating division has seven locations: five in MN (St. Cloud, Mankato, and Duluth), one location in ND (Bismarck), and one location in Colorado (Denver). We also operate

SPS Kitchen and Bath Showrooms (formerly Minnesota Standard Showplace and Dakota Standard Showplace Showrooms) under this division, with showrooms in St. Louis Park, Mankato, and Bismarck. Our Fire Protection division has six locations: two which operate as Pipe Fabricators (Maple Grove, MN and Oak Creek, WI) and four as SPS Fire Protection (Howells, NE, Johnston, IA, Wichita, KS, and Blue Springs, MO). This division offers products such as pipe, fittings, valves, sprinkler heads, pipe hangers, and fire protection accessories. Our Roofing and Sheet Metal division, doing business as SPS Metals, has been a national distributor of quality roofing, architectural sheet metal, and plumbing products for professional contractors since 1977. We are proud to have been serving the Twin Cities for over 65 years. In 1951, the Suburban Plumbing Supply Company was established. The company began by serving the needs of Postwar-era plumbers warehousing primarily soil pipe, copper & steel pipe and related fittings for mechanical contractors. has been an Employee Owned Company (ESOP) since 1989.
