Earth Day is a reminder that we’re part of something bigger and so deeply connected 🌎💛

Thanks to our renegade farmers and change makers (hi, that’s you 👋), we're slowly restoring the lost connection of our broken food system across the Midwest. Here’s what we’ve done together this past year:

🌻 3.5M pounds of food rescued and kept out of waste streams
♻️ 888K milk jugs recycled into our cereal pouches
🌱 35.7K pouches recycled through our Ridwell partnership
🌾 2,500 acres grown with regenerative, farmer-forward practices
🚙 1,000 all-electric miles on our Afield tour, connecting with farmers and bringing you along for the ride
🥣 Plus a Nexty Award for pushing planet-forward food forward!

Still pinching ourselves… we won our first Nexty Award at Expo West!

Our Bright Side Granola took home first place in the Planet-Forward category. The name couldn’t be more fitting for the occassion. When we think about changing the landscape of the food system, we’re optimistic that we can collectively make a difference. Keep looking on the bright side, friends.

And if you happened to see a team in full denim (Minnesota tuxedos, obviously) reacting a slightly over-the-top amount when this was announced… yep, that was us. We care deeply.

Feeling really grateful for everyone who tried it, supported it, and helped make this moment happen. 💙

Blue 1. Yellow 6. Red 40. For years, these have artificially colored the cereal aisle. Change in food doesn’t happen quietly, it takes courage. When retailers rethink long-standing norms, they choose progress over complacency. has officially announced they’re removing artificial dyes from their cereal aisle. That’s meaningful. And we hope it inspires even more change across the industry.

Lucky for us, we never had any to remove.

Here’s to better changes in the food aisles! 🌾
