Great event last month with Kevin Daum and Klyn Elsbury - so many powerful insights in one half-day workshop!

2 Actionable Takeaways:

1. Focus on “selling” to your employees rather than your external customer. Sell them on your vision, purpose, core values, annual initiatives. How much could that improve your business functions - including sales? (ty Kevin!)

2. Klyn’s presentation took our whole group through a journey. A real-life reminder that, even in a room of 20+ high-level executives and business owners, people are fighting their own internal battles every day. Amazing to be a part of a generous and courageous group of leaders.

“A big lesson for Business Owners & CEOs to learn is, that team that gets you to $500k, may not be the team that gets you to $5M”

This can be a tough lesson for CEOs & Business Owners. As they scale, the needs of the business change - which can often lead to personnel change as well.

Be wary of the “Golden Retriever” - an A-player in terms of culture (“everybody loves them!” “They’ve been here forever!”), but a C-player in terms of performance.
