Wandering Foot Farm- Longarm Quilting

Wandering Foot Farm- Longarm Quilting Wandering Foot Farm provides longarm computer guided quilting as well as trimming, binding and finishing for all of your quilt projects.

Wandering Foot Farm is a peaceful spot in Northern Wisconsin named after the historic quilt pattern also known as Turkey Tracks. It is my love of nature and my passion for quilting that inspired the name. I enjoy watching wild turkeys at the farm and seeing their wandering footprints in the winter snow. The foot of my sewing machine wanders across the colorful quilts as I work, reminding me of the

turkeys. I specialize in computer guided edge to edge quilting, offering 100's of patterns to make your quilt projects unique and beautiful.

Do you love all things vintage? Collect old records and wear saddle back shoes un-ironically? Then you probably like to make your own clothes too, and if that's the case then you have to try sewing with a treadle sewing machine.

My cousins gave me my Aunt Betty’s thimble collection when she passed away. No one in her family wanted them. I sorted the 300+ thimbles and love the story they tell about her- she loved birds and flowers, loved her hometown on Lake Superior and she loved to travel. She was a quilter, a seamstress, a painter, a gardener- she was a “maker”. She had a long career as a registered nurse. She was a mother, a grandmother and a great-grandmother. She loved God. Every thimble had a little number in it. I assume she had a written record of each one. Sadly no one had or kept this record. I would like to think she would be happy to know her thimbles are safe with me.

This quilt is on it’s way back to it’s owner in Ireland. It took nearly 50 years to see this quilt completed. Don’t ever give up on those unfinished projects tucked away in the closet. This quilt has created memories and friendships for me that I will cherish always.
