Every year at our Annual Meeting, members vote to elect our 12 Board members. Under the cooperative formula of "one member, one vote," every single member has an equal say in our direction. Your vote carries real weight in shaping the future of local co-ops like SRT.

Fuel up for Friday night football in Velva! It's Co-Op Month, and we’re putting the sixth Cooperative Principle—Cooperation Among Cooperatives—into action by co-hosting a community tailgating meal with Verendrye Electric Cooperative. Stop by the Velva Aggie Football Field tonight starting at 5:30 p.m. for delicious chili and knoephla before Velva kicks off against Tioga. Grab some good comfort food and celebrate what it means to be a co-op member!

During Co-Op Month, we're reflecting back to another October, in 1977, when employee Merlin Schumann installed the cooperative's 20,000th telephone at a home in Glenburn.

The story of SRT can’t be told without the seventh Cooperative Principle: Concern for Community. Concern for fellow North Dakotans compelled SRT’s founders to deliver the revolutionary service of human voices traveling over wires. By 1978, SRT had added 164 new main stations and 24 extensions, expanding network infrastructure with 79 miles of new cable to keep up with the region's steady demand.
