Scenes from a spectacular Saturday at Norsk Høstfest, as we celebrated and officially wrapped up the Home for the Holidays fundraiser, benefiting the men and women of the 91st Missile Wing and the Fifth Bomb Wing.
What an endeavor. Mayor Tom Ross had a vision for our friends at the Minot Air Force Base (did you know the most first-year airmen are stationed at MAFB?), and through the strong efforts of so many in our wonderful community, that “bar napkin idea” became a reality, to the tune of almost $100,000! With that, at least 100 of our finest will be able to travel to their loved ones, without the worry of flight costs. ✈️
Our part? The Harley raffle. You may have seen that sweet ride somewhere around town (Dave Knutson, congrats!) or right here. Big thanks to Anheuser-Busch (Jeremy, pat yourself on the back!), Magic City Harley-Davidson, Sign D'zyn of Minot, Pheasants For the Future, and our awesome retailers for hosting “bike nights” and selling tickets! And to everyone who purchased a ticket: YOU are the reason we’re proud to consider ourselves bigger than beer. ♥️
In addition to raffle proceeds, several sizeable donations were made, and the difference you made is astounding. We’re looking at you, Minot Junior Golf Association, Aggie Foundation, Beulah CVB, Kenmare Vets, and American Foundation for Wildlife! You are appreciated. 🙌🏼
Special shoutout to the fabulous folks at the Minot Area Chamber EDC. You consistently bring the magic to this city. 🪄
