🚨 THIS TREE WASN'T STANDING. IT WAS HANGING. 🚨
At first glance, this looked like just another tree in the woods.
The reality was much different.
Approximately 20 feet above the ground, the stem had completely failed and broken apart. Instead of falling, it became suspended in a neighboring oak tree nearly 50 feet away, leaving thousands of pounds of timber hanging in the canopy.
With a home and propane tank located within the potential impact zone, allowing the tree to come down uncontrolled simply wasn't an option.
Our crew climbed the damaged tree, secured the suspended stem using specialized rigging techniques, and carefully stabilized the situation before any cutting began. Once everything was under control, we safely released the tree from the supporting oak and lowered it to the ground piece by piece.

⚠️ LEANING RED PINE OVER PRIMARY POWER LINES ⚠️
This is why experience matters around power lines.
This red pine was heavily leaning toward the primary lines, leaving very little room for error during removal. Instead of fighting the lean directly, we used controlled rigging techniques to pull the tree back into a neighboring white pine to help stabilize and redirect it before removal.
Once secured, the tree was safely cut at the base and carefully lowered in sections under full control while maintaining safe clearance from the utility lines throughout the removal process.
A lot of people only see a tree coming down.
What they don’t see is the planning, rope work, tension control, weight management, and constant adjustments happening behind the scenes to safely complete a job like this.

⚠️ ONE WRONG MOVE… AND THIS TREE COULD’VE CRUSHED THE CORNER OF THE HOUSE. ⚠️
Yesterday’s windstorm caused this large white pine to fail and become suspended into multiple surrounding trees directly beside the homeowner’s shed and near the house.
While the shed was in danger, the real threat was the house. If this tree had broken free or pushed through the surrounding pines, it had a direct path toward the corner of the home.
This was not a routine tree removal. The entire tree was hanging under extreme tension and pressure, capable of shifting violently without warning. Before a saw could even touch the tree, we had to build a controlled rigging system using multiple ropes, tension lines, rigging points, and controlled pulls to stabilize the tree and prevent movement toward the structures.
Once secured, we carefully repositioned the tree away from the house and dismantled it piece by piece, safely lowering everything to the ground without causing damage to the home, shed, or surrounding property.
The pictures show part of the setup, but they honestly don’t capture how dangerous this situation really was. Trees under this much pressure can fail instantly and unpredictably if handled incorrectly.

🔥 BEFORE ➡️ AFTER 🔥
Most people look at this and think…
“Eh, it’s probably fine.”
But that maple lead was over the porch, growing toward the house, and already showing weak points. That’s the kind of thing that doesn’t give much warning when it goes.
So we didn’t wait on it.
Removed the spruce, ground the stump below grade, and took down the entire maple lead safely and clean.
