What Else Are We Looking For?
• 2 years or more of outside sales B2B experience

• Must be willing to support and work closely with others within the sales and service teams to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
• A plus for prior experience within the Structured Cabling industry or with Communications Technology systems.
• BIG PLUS for prior experience with Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) or First Responder Radio Enhancement Systems!

REQUIREMENTS
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must possess a reliable vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
• Must possess a smart phone with a functional email account.
• Must maintain regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must demonstrate ability to climb ladders, operate power hand tools and work in both an office and a construction environment.
• Must possess personal hand tools. Must have Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. Steel toed boots, safety vest, safety glasses and hard hat (Company may provide assistance in obtaining some PPE items).
• Must maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
• Must have overall understanding and knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure: voice and data.
• Must possess knowledge in installation and termination associated with network cabling - CAT5e, CAT6, Copper, Coax.
• Must be able to recognize industry cabling/wiring schemes/color codes and terminate accordingly (i.e. patch panels, 110 termination blocks, 66 blocks, ANSI EIA/TIA 568A/568B, etc.)
• Must have working knowledge in assembly and installation of cable tray and head end closet build out (i.e. racks, ladder racks, support structures, etc.)
• Must be able to differentiate between colors of the TIA color code.
• Must have knowledge and experience with firestopping systems.
• Must have the ability to read and understand floorplans.
• Must have the ability to listen and communicate with peers and supervisors.
• English required. Bilingual preferred.
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 2 years of applicable experience in the cabling industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
• Pulling, routing, supporting, terminating, labeling and testing low voltage voice & data CAT5/5e/6/Copper/Coax.
• Establish cable pathways as described by industry standards.
• Install termination blocks, patch panels and station hardware.
• Troubleshoot copper as necessary.
• Cleanup work site each day.
• Maintain compliance with all industry standards (NEC, TIA/EIA, BICSI).
• Adhere to all project safety requirements as established by the Company and OSHA.
• Maintain the Company’s high standard of quality and professionalism with regards to workmanship, customer relations, coworkers, behavior and appearance.
• Check and follow daily work schedule.
• Report to assigned work location on time and properly prepared with the correct hand tools.
• Assist with training Installers.

Low-voltage cabling contractor, specializing in the design and installation of structured cabling systems is currently seeking a Project Manager with a self-starter attitude who can plan, direct, and coordinate activities of cabling projects to ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects according to customer needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Attend projects turnovers with Field Operations Manager and Sales team member to review scope, materials, timelines, etc.
• Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters related to your projects.
• Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
• Review drawings, SOW, and all other bid documents to understand the technical scope and objectives of projects assigned.
• Consult with Operations Manager to review project scope, identify milestones, and formulate a plan for accomplishing established goals and meeting customer expectations.
• Compile and organize field drawings, SOW and other documents as necessary for communicating with your Lead Technicians.
• Forecast and coordinate staffing and material requirements to minimize lost productivity.
• Communicate and coordinate materials requirements and timeframes with the Warehouse Manager
• Direct and coordinate the activities of project personnel to ensure milestones are met and projects are kept within budget.
• Communicate with Blue Wave subcontractors to coordinate their installation requirements and activities in concert with the construction schedule.
• Attend construction meetings and communicate effectively with the customer, General Contractor and other trades on the project.
• Create and track change orders in simPRO and obtain customer approval before carrying out any changes.
• Compile and organize all project documentation for all projects and provide deliverables packet to customers.
• Inspect, enforce and maintain the high-quality workmanship expected of Blue Wave.
• Perform regular performance evaluations for individuals assigned to your Team.
• Build team atmosphere and foster an attitude of continuous improvement with your assigned staff.
• Quote all change order to requested by client.
• Review job at time of rough-in and TR completion: documents, labor, and materials.
• Rough-in and trim-out preparation.

Daily Responsibilities

• Ensure field personnel have all the materials necessary for timely completion of their assigned tasks and in keeping with the customer expectations.
• Direct the installation activities for field personnel and effectively communicate all objectives, timeframes, etc.
• Obtain status from Lead Technicians at the end of each day to verify daily objectives have been met and to confirm objectives for the following day.
• Review and approve timesheets in simPRO.
• Anticipate and communicate any potential issues that may affect our ability to meet project milestones or will otherwise not be in keeping with the customer’s expectations.
• Maintain customer communication via email, phone, and site visits.
• Deliver submittal package to customer for approval.
• Conduct Project Evaluations at the close of the project to request incentives to technicians.

Education/Professional Experience

• Minimum of 5 years industry experience, to include supervisory experience on multiple projects at a time.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook
• Ability to communicate effectively, whether verbal or written, at all levels of the organization and with customers, General Contractors, consultants, etc.
• English required
