five years ago, i made a snap decision to create my own bookkeeping company & continue working from home as a 1099 employee for the event space, the distillery, and the construction company. since then, i have gained regular clients whose trust in me has allowed me the freedom to continue learning & growing into my 40s. i have been able to focus on my scout babies & my troops, as well as be present for my son in ways i hadn’t been able to be previously.
the most common question people ask me is if i work with coffee — no, but i drink it all day, everyday. the name for my business came to me in an instant & i ran with it. jesse adele’s virtual accounting. j.a.v.a. java. it’s my fifth anniversary as an official entrepreneur, and that means i’m told to celebrate with wood.
