🔥 NO DAYS OFF. NO SHORTCUTS. ALWAYS READY. 🔥

While most are winding down for the night, our crews are still putting in the work. Tonight, our firefighters took on Single Engine Live Fire Night Operations Training, sharpening their skills under realistic nighttime conditions.

We train during the day. We train at night. Because emergencies don’t have a schedule—and when that call drops, we have to be ready.

Huge shoutout to our Mission Fire Training Division for putting together another great training evolution and continuing to push our firefighters to be better every single day.

The training doesn’t stop. The commitment doesn’t stop. We stay ready. 🚒🔥

We are extremely proud of one of our member’s sons, who stepped into the ring and did a remarkable job representing firefighters and first responders. 💪🔥

This past week, members of the Mission Firefighters Association Local 3609 had the honor of attending the International Association of Fire Fighters Convention.

Eight members from Local 3609 joined our brothers and sisters from across the Rio Grande Valley, along with firefighters from across the country, to represent our region and have a voice in the future of our profession.

Throughout the convention, delegates came together to discuss, debate, and vote on important resolutions and policies that will help guide our union for the next two years until the next IAFF Convention.

We are proud of our members and all our brothers and sisters from the Valley who stood together representing South Texas. Stronger together, united for our members, our families, and the communities we proudly serve. 🇺🇸🚒🔥

It is with a heavy heart, the Mission Firefighters Association Local 3609 extends our deepest condolences to the brothers and sisters in the Laredo Fire Department.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the firefighter’s family, friends, and the entire department as they mourn this heartbreaking loss.

No one should have to face these struggles alone. May God grant comfort, strength, and peace to all affected.

Rest in peace, Brother. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. 🙏🖤🚒

Yesterday was a long and demanding day for the Mission Fire Department. From 12:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., our dedicated firefighters and EMS personnel answered the call time and time again, responding to 25 fire calls and 28 EMS calls to keep our community safe.
We couldn’t be more proud of the commitment, professionalism, and teamwork displayed by every crew member. No matter the hour or the challenge, they continued to serve with courage and compassion.
Thank you to every firefighter, paramedic, EMT, dispatcher, and everyone behind the scenes who helped make a difference yesterday. Your dedication to the City of Mission never goes unnoticed.

Today, our Mission Fire Department Fire Prevention Division was out at two H-E-B locations 3 Mile Line & Conway and Shary Road participating in the H-E-B Kids Event!

We are incredibly proud of our Fire Prevention team for taking the time to educate children and families about fire safety while building strong relationships with our community.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to visit, support, and spend time with our firefighters. Your support means the world to us!
