Today marks 25 years since the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Here at Branch 5 in Missoula, we pause to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the families forever changed, and the incredible bravery of the first responders who rushed toward danger.

As our community gathers across town—from the Missoula Fire Department’s memorial at the University of Montana to the flags flying high at the Memorial Rose Garden—the team at Branch 5 stands in unified reflection. We remember that even in our darkest moments, hope, unity, and resilience prevail.

We invite you to take a moment out of your day with us to reflect, show gratitude to our local heroes, and ensure we never forget. 🇺🇸

To the Incredible Staff, Students, and Parents of Hellgate Elementary PTA,

At Pacific Steel & Recycling, we see a lot of metal come through our doors, but we have never seen a spirit quite like yours. We are absolutely thrilled to congratulate you on a record-shattering "ICAN Make A Difference" aluminum can drive!

This year, the Hellgate community rallied together to recycle a staggering 6,974 pounds of aluminum. It was an honor to see the hard work of these students translate into a massive reward, with over $5,000 in payouts going directly back to them for their efforts.

We would like to give a special shout-out to our top leaderboard finishers:

🏆 Top Class: Mrs. Kasper’s class for their incredible teamwork, totaling 924 pounds!

🥇 First Place Student: Alex, for an outstanding individual effort of 878 pounds!

🥈 Second Place Student: Cayson, for a fantastic contribution of 752 pounds!

Programs like "ICAN" remind us that when we work together, we don't just clean up our environment—we build a stronger community. Thank you, Hellgate families and staff, for your partnership and for proving that you truly can make a difference.

Way to go, Hawks!

Sincerely,

The Team at Pacific Steel & Recycling
