Today, the sunshine in Moab was a little brighter when some of our local contractors came together to continue the work needed to help Doreen O’Connell get back into her home that was destroyed in the Moab flood last August. This morning, the concrete was poured for the foundation of Doreen’s new home.

It was wonderful to witness how everyone came together and worked so well on this project for Doreen. She has been an important part of the Moab community over the years, and it was an honor and a privilege for the local contractors to give back to her during this challenging time. We are very grateful for the following contractors who stepped up today:

Charlie Every of Moab Man Enterprises, Inc.;
Danny & Steve Keys of Keys Construction & Ready Mix;
Colin Fryer & Glen Wilson of Castle Rock Construction;
Bill Winfield & Jon Winfield of AW Construction, Inc.; &
Robert & Heidi Lowrey of Lowrey Construction.

Thanks again to this amazing team for their continued generosity and compassion on this project for our friend Doreen.

If anyone would like to help Doreen replace her personal belongings and contribute to her utility expenses, an account is set up under the name “Donations for Doreen O’Connell” at Wells Fargo in Moab. Call 435-719-2700 to donate.

Pushing thru ambitious goals and giving back to our community is apart of company culture and core values. We couldn’t be more thankful to have this dedicated crew.

Here’s the scoop….

In October of this year we began an extensive project with the Moab Free Health Clinic. From demo, to installation, to finish work we put together a crew of the best to finish the project in record time. We owe special thanks to a few of our industry partners for helping the Moab Free Health Clinic meet their goals.

Amazing things happen when local Contractors come together to build a lasting foundation for our community.

Here’s the scoop….

Robert and Heidi Lowrey of Lowrey Construction have been housing Doreen O’Connell since the flood damaged her home at 721 Millcreek on August 20th, 2022. Her home was a 100% loss including almost all of her personal belongings.

This Thursday AW Construction started rebuilding the pad for Doreen's new home with materials donated by Harrison Field Services. The front-end loader donated by Wheeler Machinery of Moab, Trucking by Robbie Lovato of Spanish Valley Trucking, with additional trucking donated by Colin Fryer and Glen Wilson of Castle Rock Construction.

AW Construction donated both equipment and manpower to start the construction of the pad with help from Robert Lowrey. Bill Hulse and Josh Green with Grand County have provided a dumpster to help with the offhaul of the debris and trash.

Thank you for all who are working to help Doreen get back into a new home and a big thank you for Robert and Heidi providing her a home as the slow process begins.

If you would like to help Doreen replace her personal belongings and utility expenses, an account has been set up at Wells Fargo under the name "Donations for Doreen O'Connell".
