Seven years ago, we walked through the doors of the Villisca Axe Murder House in Iowa, and it quietly flipped a switch in us that we never saw coming.
We went in expecting a quick history tour. But something about that place lingered. The heavy silence, the weight in the air, the way every small sound and unexplained feeling made the hair on our arms stand up. It planted a seed of real curiosity.
That visit didn’t instantly turn us into paranormal investigators. Instead, it sparked endless late-night conversations, deep dives into unexplained history, and questions we couldn’t stop asking. What started as “that was creepy” slowly became “what if we looked deeper?”
We’re so grateful for the way it awakened that sense of wonder and fascination in us.
