SPECIAL EVENT:

Join us on Wednesday, November 11 as we honor our military veterans and active-duty service members! Your experience begins with full access to our state-of-the-art Interactive Aerospace Exhibit followed by a guided tour of the A320 assembly line inside the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility. All visiting veterans and active military personnel will receive complimentary admission with valid military ID.

Space is limited—reserve your spot early to celebrate with us!

Tickets are $30 for adults and $20 for students (ages 10–18). You may choose between time slots 9:00 to 11:00 AM, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, or 1:00 to 3:00 PM.

Through the Imagine What’s Possible initiative, we are ensuring access to all:

👀 See What’s Possible: Interactive field trips to FWA + behind-the-scenes tours of the Airbus A320 Final Assembly Line for 5th, 7th, and 9th graders.
🛠️ Experience What’s Possible: Fully funded access to our We Build It Better and We Will Build It Better hands-on learning programs in local classrooms.
🔓 Access What’s Possible: Educational funding covering operational costs and supporting local initiatives like the new Aerospace Clubhouse at Pillans Middle School.

Together we’re inspiring the next generation of creators, innovators, and aerospace leaders right here in Alabama!

One of our core values at Flight Works Alabama is COLLABORATION, because we are "Better Together." Our team listens to, connects with, and works alongside partners in industry, education, and the community.

Every year, Delta’s Flight Operations, in partnership with Women in Aviation International, hosts the WING Flight (Women Inspiring Next Generation) to introduce young women ages 11-18 to aviation and aerospace careers. Last week, for the 11th annual WING Flight, 160 young women from Atlanta-area schools came to Mobile to see how aircraft come to life.

Delta Air Lines, Airbus, Bishop State Community College, and Flight Works Alabama came together to curate a truly fabulous day in advanced manufacturing. The girls were able to visit our interactive aerospace exhibit, play “Hammer It Out,” a quality-control card game, tour the final assembly line of the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Site, visit Bishop State’s Gene Haas Center for Advanced Manufacturing Technology, and end the day with a panel discussion.

This day would not have happened without partnership and collaboration. Special thanks to our vendors for the day: Signature Aviation, Port City Rentals, CiCi’s Pizza, and Chick-fil-A Bel Air

Flight Works Alabama Board Vice President Nathan England said it best: “They don’t need a brochure. What they need is exposure. They need to see what these careers actually look like, to talk to people doing them, and to connect what they’re learning in school to something real.”

Today is National Intern Day! 🎉

Internships are about so much more than gaining experience—they’re about creating opportunities, building confidence, discovering passions, and giving the next generation a chance to learn, contribute, and grow.

We would have never made it through our busy summer without Ansleigh and Autumn! They showed up everyday with curiosity, fresh ideas, and a willingness to learn.

We appreciate you more than you know, and we’re cheering you on. We can’t wait to watch you “Take Flight” in this world! YAY INTERNS.

FLIGHTPATH9 EARLY CAREER APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN!!!

FlightPath9 is a Flight Works Alabama (FWA) pre-employment training program designed to prepare individuals for a position at Airbus’ U.S. Manufacturing Facility here in Mobile.

Participants will engage in 10 weeks of comprehensive learning opportunities at Bishop State Community College. FlightPath9 Early Career participants must have completed high school and be 18 years or older by November 2, 2026.
