👷‍♂️ Intern Spotlight: Pratt Turner

Today, Pratt gave us a tour of the Taylor Park Community Center project while crews were hard at work installing metal studs. As a Construction Management student at the University of Southern Mississippi, he's getting valuable hands-on experience and seeing firsthand how a project comes together.

We're glad to have him on the team this summer!

Meet this week's Intern Spotlight: Kaden Pierce!

Kaden is a Building Science student at Auburn University spending his summer with the Rogers & Willard team. We're excited to have him on board and look forward to seeing all he accomplishes during his internship.

Crossing the finish line for a great cause! 🏃

Rogers & Willard was excited to sponsor the Africatown Bridge Challenge this weekend, where our Senior Project Manager, Daniel Haas, took on the 5K alongside runners and supporters from across the community. The event benefits the Africatown Community Development Corporation and its efforts to preserve and strengthen one of Mobile's most historic communities.

Way to go, Daniel, and thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and helped make this year's event a success!

Congratulations to Mike and Cay Rogers on receiving the Banner and Shield Award from the Mobile Historic Development Commission at Monday evening's ceremony at the Bragg-Mitchell Mansion!

This recognition celebrates the thoughtful preservation and restoration of the Chighizola House, a project that is quickly approaching the finish line in downtown Mobile.

What began as a vision to breathe new life into a historic landmark has become a labor of love shared by countless craftsmen, preservation advocates, historians, and partners who believe Mobile's historic places deserve to be preserved for future generations.

The Banner and Shield Award recognizes properties that exemplify outstanding historic preservation while helping tell the story of our city's rich and diverse heritage. We are grateful to see the Chighizola House recognized as part of that ongoing story.

As the restoration nears completion, we look forward to sharing more of this remarkable property's history and its next chapter. Thank you to everyone who has helped steward this special piece of Mobile's heritage along the way!

We're continuing our Intern Spotlight series with Tiara Smith! 🌟

Tiara is a junior at the University of South Alabama majoring in Marketing and is back at Rogers & Willard for her second internship. This summer, she'll be working alongside our Project Coordinators while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the construction industry.

A little about Tiara: During COVID, she taught herself how to crochet and scrapbook. Safe to say creativity comes naturally to her, both in and out of the office!

We're excited to have Tiara back on the team and look forward to another great summer with her!

Paul is a junior in Auburn University's Building Science program and is joining Rogers & Willard for his FOURTH internship. This fall, he'll take his studies abroad to Australia before returning for his senior year.
