While our Goodwill Gulf Coast retail stores are phasing out single use plastic bags, we are still recycling them! Bring your plastic grocery bags from all your stores to the Recycling Center to keep them out of the landfill and back into circulation as new items.

Starting September 14th, Goodwill Gulf Coast will no longer provide single-use plastic shopping bags in our retail stores. Until then, plastic bags will be available at our stores while supplies last. This small change will help reduce plastic waste and support a cleaner, more sustainable community. Thank you for helping us make a positive impact, one shopping trip at a time. 🌎💙

To help make the transition easy, reusable shopping bags in 6 fun designs will be available for just 99¢ at checkout. You're also welcome to bring your own reusable bags from home. Keep a few in your car so you're always ready for your next thrifting adventure. 🛍️🚗

The Mobile County Recycling Center, operated by Goodwill Gulf Coast, now has a new American flag retirement box. A big thank you to Dan Jacobsen with the American Legion for providing the new box. 💙

When your American flag becomes faded or worn, don't throw it away. Bring it to the Recycling Center, where it can be retired with dignity by the American Legion veterans.

🏖️ Summer is for sunshine and sand! 🌞♻️

At the Mobile County Recycling Center, operated by Goodwill Gulf Coast, we're turning recycled glass into something brand new. Our glass pulverizer from Andela Products transforms bottles and jars into about 8,000 pounds of recycled sand every week. 🌎✨

That sand can be used for Mobile County construction projects, giving glass a second life instead of sending it to the landfill. Every bottle recycled helps protect our environment and supports a cleaner community. 💚

The next time you recycle your glass, remember. It might just become a beach-worthy pile of sand. 🏖️😎

Your glass can get a second life as sand! ♻️

At the Mobile County Recycling Center, recycled glass is pulverized into sand that can be used in construction projects throughout our community. 🏖️

Since October 2025, the Recycling Center has provided more than 250,000 pounds of recycled sand for use across Mobile County. That's thousands of pounds of material diverted from the landfill and put back to work in a meaningful way. 🌎

Every bottle and jar recycled helps support a cleaner, more sustainable future. Thank you for doing your part to recycle and protect our community. 💚

♻️Recycle Your Glass at the Mobile County Recycling Center! ♻️

Our Glass Pulverizer from Andela Products is transforming old glass bottles into clean, usable sand, and we’re loving the results! 🍾

The best part? No more sorting by color. Clear, green, and brown glass all go into the pulverizer together and pure sand comes out. That sand will be used by Mobile County in construction projects, giving a new life to old glass bottles.

One bottle at a time, we’re building a cleaner, greener, more sustainable future for our community. 🌍
