Yep — we do Saturday service calls too. 💪🔧

One of our customers recently reported that the “ #” key on their exterior access control keypad had stopped working. We ordered the replacement part immediately, it arrived late Friday, and we let the customer know we’d be there Saturday to get them taken care of.

Today we replaced the keypad, tested all functions, verified codes and operation, and got everything back up and running. 👍

The system was an Alarm.com access control unit — a very reliable product that we install often. But like anything electronic mounted outdoors, sometimes Mother Nature has other plans. ⚡ We suspect a nearby lightning strike may have damaged the keypad and caused the pound key to fail.

Another project wrapped up in Downtown Mobile ✅

The team at BTSI Systems recently completed a full low-voltage and security installation for Yellowhammer Coffee at their Saint Joseph Street location as part of their remodel.

Scope of work included:
• New camera system installation
• Upgrade to the existing burglar alarm system
• CAT6 structured cabling for POS and Wi-Fi
• Installation of network equipment and rack infrastructure

Unfortunately, situations like this are exactly why security systems matter.

Early this morning, one of our customers here in Mobile experienced an attempted smash-and-grab at their business. Thankfully, their alarm system did exactly what it was supposed to do — it activated immediately, scared off the suspect, and sent signals to the central station. Police were notified right away, and the customer was instantly alerted through the Alarm.com mobile app.

The customer reached out to us for help retrieving surveillance footage, and even though it’s a Saturday, our team is always on call for situations like this. We were able to get onsite quickly and assist.

Moments like this are a reminder that having a properly installed and monitored system can make all the difference.

We’ll be working with this client next week to upgrade their camera system and add additional exterior coverage to better protect the property moving forward.

Another project in the works! 🔧📹

BTSI Systems is proud to be working once again with the team at Flying Dolly’s as they continue to grow and open new locations. It’s always rewarding to support local businesses and be a part of their expansion.

So far on this project, we’ve:
✅ Repaired and brought existing cameras back online
✅ Added new Luminys IP high-definition cameras for improved coverage and clarity
✅ Installed a Qolsys alarm system with PowerG wireless sensors
✅ Set up the Alarm.com app for easy control and access for ownership and staff

We’re putting the finishing touches on everything, but it’s already shaping up to be another clean, professional install.

Another install in the books ✅

Today we wrapped up a burglar alarm system install for a new local restaurant getting ready to open soon. This location is now protected with a Qolsys IQ Hub and PowerG wireless sensors, giving them a reliable, modern security system from day one.

We also got started on the CAT6 cabling for their camera system, which we’ll be finishing up tomorrow—so stay tuned for more photos of the full setup.
