On September 11, 2001, our nation experienced one of the darkest days in its history. Terrorists attacked the United States, taking the lives of 2,977 innocent people at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and aboard United Flight 93. Thousands of families were forever changed, and countless first responders answered the call without hesitation, many making the ultimate sacrifice in service to others.
As we approach the anniversary of 9/11, we pause to remember those we lost, honor the courage and selflessness of the firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, military members, and ordinary citizens who became heroes that day, and reflect on the strength and resilience of our nation.
For those of us in the public safety profession, September 11 serves as a lasting reminder of our commitment to protect and serve our communities, no matter the circumstances. It is our responsibility to ensure that the sacrifices made on that day are never forgotten and that future generations understand the significance of this moment in our nation’s history.
Today, we ask everyone to take a moment to remember…..and remember to join us on 9/11/2016 at 114 Dr. Slate Drive Mocksville NC for our 2nd 9/11 Memorial Run/Walk! More details to come! Don’t forget to SHARE SHARE SHARE!!!
We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
