At Huff, building strong communities goes beyond the job site. We are proud to continue our partnership with The State Theatre of Modesto as a sponsor for their annual fundraiser on October 2.

Since 1934, The State Theatre has been a cultural cornerstone in our region, enriching the Central Valley through independent film, live performances, and arts education programs. Our SLO battery project recently reached an exciting milestone with the delivery and placement of the battery system.

The project is now one step closer to bringing new energy storage capacity online in San Luis Obispo. 🔋🔌

We're broadening our horizons even further! We're heading to Pennsylvania for our next East Coast project where we'll bring two BESS systems online. The battery storage systems will help our customers store energy while also generating additional revenue through grid service programs — it's a win-win!

Two projects in California are moving full speed ahead this quarter ☀️:

Mariani Packing Co.'s 2.37MW ground-mount solar panels is nearly completed. The mechanics will be done this month and aims to be fully online by the end of September. Once live, these panels will help offset the power at their HQ processing plant.

Down in SLO, Waste Connections' rooftop solar project is climbing the roof — literally. Panel rails are now being installed, alongside a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) awaiting delivery. This project aims to go live by early November which will help cut demand costs and provide solar islanding.

East Coast, here we come! We're teaming up again with Wells Energy Development to bring renewable power generation and storage to the region. This project will not only benefit from energy storage, but also help create additional revenue for the property owners using participating in grid service programs in the area.

We're excited to bring the "Huff Promise" to a new coast — EPC services that help guide the project every step of the way, from vetting through construction, for high-quality results.

Meet our newest intern, Emily Tyler. She's studying Construction Management at CSU Chico, and has spent the summer gaining hands-on experience across a variety of projects like solar installations and major commercial buildings.

Beyond learning the ropes of the industry, her favorite part being on the Huff team is the support and the feeling of being part of the family. We couldn't be happier to have you, Emily!

Back in February, we installed solar canopies on the barn roofs at the County Fair. Now that the summer fair has passed, we're happy to report that they did exactly what they were built for — keeping the animals (and the barn) cool while generating clean power up top. ☀️
