Four Security Officers Murdered in Recent Weeks

CHARLOTTE N.C. June 11, 2026
At least four security officers have lost their lives in recent weeks as the use of private security continues to grow nationwide.

All four on-duty officers were killed violently including Washington D.C. security officer Marvin Urquhart who was stabbed to death while on duty at a nightclub.

Dylan Plouff was assaulted while working security at a Milwaukee Wisconsin parking garage and later succumbed to his injuries.
Police announced recently that an offender has been arrested and charges filed by the district attorney’s office.

A Tampa Florida security officer was the victim of an intentional hit and run while working at a nightclub.
Police said that 32-year-old Jose Zamora Valdes, was ejected from the club after assaulting a female.
As security officers were walking through the parking lot after ejecting Valdes from the business, he jumped into his car and drove at the security personnel striking and killed one of them.
He fled the area and the US Marshals are currently searching for him.
The name of the murdered security officer has not been released as of yet.

A Louisiana school security officer was struck and killed by a vehicle while directing traffic.
Police have the driver in custody and the 64-year-old driver who struck her was arrested on charges of second-offense DWI and vehicular homicide.
