Launching a hypersonic test from the ground can be challenging and expensive.
Stratolaunch’s two launch platforms, Spirit of Mojave and Roc, solve this problem by enabling routine air-launch testing. These two aircraft allow us to deploy Talon-A in various locations with a starting drop speed above Mach 0.8, before accelerating to over Mach 5. Compared to ground launches, air-launching Talon-A offers increased flexibility, cost efficiency, cadence and safety.

That’s the world Talon-A was built for.
Our autonomous, reusable flight vehicle helps engineers test technologies at hypersonic speeds, where heat, pressure and physics push designs to their limits. When the mission is complete, Talon-A returns and lands itself, ready to fly again.
